Direct drug distributionDirect-to-patient drug distribution is increasing very rapidly worldwide, driven by both market forces and a new emphasis on individualized care. Drug clinical trials, which often ship directly to house-bound patients in widely scattered locations, are an especially important segment. But even long term diseases requiring new biopharma drugs are being handled by the patient directly, raising the need for both confirming that drugs arrive in good condition, and longer term monitoring of the drug storage conditions, perhaps in locations without reliable refrigeration. |
